Connector Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Connector stores, how VPN profiles are used, what data may be processed by VPN servers, and how to contact us with privacy questions.
1. App Summary
Connector is a native iOS VPN client. The app lets users add, import, check, select, and connect to VPN profiles, including VLESS profiles and compatible subscription links.
The app is designed to store VPN configuration data on the user's device and to use that data to create and manage an iOS VPN connection. Connector does not require a Connector account to use the local VPN client features.
2. Information Stored On Your Device
Connector may store the following information locally on your device so the app can work:
- VPN profile names and server addresses that you add or import.
- VLESS profile configuration values required to create a VPN connection.
- Subscription URLs you add, and metadata about imported subscription profiles.
- The currently selected VPN profile or server.
- Connection state, such as connected, disconnected, connecting, or failed.
- Recent server availability and latency check results.
- App settings, including DNS, appearance, Live Activity, widget, and split tunneling preferences.
This local information is used to provide app functionality. It is stored using iOS storage mechanisms such as UserDefaults, App Groups, Network Extension configuration storage, or other local app storage depending on the app version and feature.
3. Information We Do Not Collect Through The App
Based on the current app design, Connector does not collect personal data for tracking, advertising, analytics, or profiling. The app does not sell personal information.
Connector does not intentionally collect browsing history, DNS query history, message contents, photos, contacts, precise location, payment card details, or health information.
4. VPN Traffic And Third-Party Servers
When you connect to a VPN profile, your network traffic is routed according to the selected VPN configuration and the VPN server you choose. The operator of that VPN server or subscription service may be able to process technical information necessary to provide VPN connectivity, such as connection time, source IP address, destination IP address, DNS requests, bandwidth usage, or traffic metadata.
Connector is a client application. If you import or use a profile from a third-party VPN provider, that provider's own privacy policy and terms may apply to the VPN service itself. You should review the privacy practices of any VPN provider whose profiles you use.
5. Subscription Links And Profile Imports
If you add a subscription link, Connector may request that URL to retrieve the list of available VPN profiles. The subscription provider can see the network request required to provide the subscription response. Connector uses the response to display and save the profiles available to you.
If you import a QR code, Connector uses the device camera only to read the QR code content you choose to scan. The camera is not used for advertising or tracking.
6. Server Checks And Ping Results
Connector may check whether imported servers are reachable and may measure approximate latency. These checks are used to help you choose a working server. Recent results may be stored locally so the app and widgets can show server availability.
7. Widgets, Live Activities, And Shared App Data
Connector may share limited local state between the main app, widgets, Live Activities, and the VPN extension using an iOS App Group. This can include the selected server, connection state, connection start time, recent ping results, and display information needed by widgets.
This shared state is used to show status and enable native iOS controls. It is not used for third-party advertising or tracking.
8. Diagnostics And Support
If you contact support, we may receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, device model, iOS version, app version, screenshots, error descriptions, or troubleshooting details. We use support messages only to respond to your request, diagnose issues, improve the app, and maintain service quality.
Please do not send passwords, private keys, paid subscription secrets, or other sensitive credentials in support emails.
9. Data Retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, remove the relevant VPN configuration, delete the app, or reset the device. Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.
10. Data Sharing
Connector does not sell personal information. We may share information only when required to operate support, comply with law, protect rights and safety, respond to lawful requests, or with your consent.
11. Security
Connector uses iOS platform security features and native APIs to store settings and manage VPN configurations. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so users should protect their device with a passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, and current iOS updates.
12. Children
Connector is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
13. International Use
VPN laws and network rules vary by country, region, workplace, school, and network provider. Users are responsible for using Connector only where and how they are legally allowed to do so.
14. Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes, when legal requirements change, or when we improve our privacy disclosures. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
